22 years in the construction and painting industry has taken me up and down the always beautiful east coast of Queensland all while gaining extensive experience in every aspect of the painting and specialised coatings trade and a select core group of external construction and access skills,
Beginning as an apprentice in Mackay under Grant painters and soon becoming a leading hand, our main emphasis was on restoring stunning old heritage houses and buildings back to their former glory, I am truly honoured to have had the opportunity to have spent that time early on to learn the trade from such a dedicated 2nd generation family owned and operated company,
2004 to 2011 saw me move to Brisbane and take up a position with Aspect property group leading an external finishing’s team, again a family owned and operated construction company that emphasised its energy on raising absolutely amazing homes, complexes and medium to high rise buildings dotted throughout Brisbane’s most sought after social hubs, their portfolio of quality builds and architectural design is highly awarded and second to non, the time spent with Aspect really cemented my knowledge within the industry and this relationship lives on today with DK now maintaining many of these amazing buildings.
2011, the floods hit Brisbane, lower lying suburbs were inundated so I sought high ground, I moved on and into the ranks of one of the industry leaders in commercial and high rise coatings as a leading hand for the swinging stage and heights safety teams, it was here that I gained the training and necessary skills to run the new rope access coatings team and with that came the opportunity to leave our mark on some Brisbane’s most iconic buildings.
A real love for working safely within the heights environment was formed and an idea was planted,
In 2015 a decision was made and DK Safe Access Solutions was born, we have since evolved into an undeniably diverse company with a driving force towards supplying a quality and completely tailored product as we truly believe every client and buildings needs are vastly unique, it was always our main goal to create a company that has the ability to offer a complete building maintenance solution that’s not only industry leading in quality but also utilizes the safest forms of access available to the industry and thus allowing us to position ourselves in areas otherwise out of reach to most trades,
